Money Transfer Software FAQ — Your Questions Answered

Frequently asked questions about Remitz money transfer software and remittance software. Learn about AML/KYC, pricing, integrations, agent management & getting started.

Getting started

What is Remitz money transfer software?
Remitz is a white-label money transfer software platform designed for licensed Money Transfer Operators (MTOs), fintechs and Money Service Businesses (MSBs). It provides everything you need to launch and run a compliant remittance business — from customer-facing portals and mobile apps to back-office tools, agent management and global payout integrations.
Is Remitz FCA compliant?
Remitz is built to support FCA-regulated businesses. The platform includes integrated AML monitoring, KYC identity verification, sanctions screening, suspicious activity reporting and complete audit trails. Explore our remittance software features for full details. While Remitz provides the technology, the regulatory licence is held by you — the operator.
How long does it take to launch?
Most businesses can go live within 15–30 days from onboarding. This includes platform setup, branding customization, compliance configuration, corridor setup and team training. Our dedicated onboarding team guides you through every step.
What does it cost?
Plans start from £299/month with a transparent one-time setup fee. We offer Starter and Enterprise tiers depending on your business needs. Visit our pricing page for full details, or book a call to discuss a custom plan.
Do you offer a mobile app?
Yes. Remitz offers a white-label mobile app for both iOS and Android, built on Ionic and Angular. The app includes biometric login, push notifications, real-time transfer tracking and full transaction capabilities. It is available as an add-on for a one-time fee of £1,500.

Providers & integrations

What payment and payout methods are supported?
Remitz integrates payout methods — bank deposits, mobile wallets, cash pickup and airtime top-up — through partner APIs. On the collection side, we integrate with card payments, bank transfers and open banking APIs. You can connect to our pre-built payout-partner integrations or bring your own.
What KYC/AML providers do you integrate with?
Remitz integrates with leading KYC and AML providers including Onfido, Yoti, Trulioo and others. Sanctions screening, PEP checks and ongoing monitoring are supported out of the box. We can also integrate with your preferred compliance provider.
Can we use our own payout, KYC and payment gateway providers?
Yes — that is how Remitz is designed to work. You choose your providers and hold the commercial relationship with each of them. The platform already contains production-tested integrations with 20+ payout, 5 KYC and 4 payment gateway providers, so connecting yours is configuration rather than development. If your preferred provider is not already integrated, we can build the connection.
Do we need our own accounts with those providers?
Yes. Remitz does not supply payout, KYC, payment gateway, SMS, email or address-lookup accounts. You contract with each provider directly and supply the API credentials they issue you. This keeps your pricing, your margins and your commercial terms yours, and means you are never locked into rails somebody else chose.
Can it support multiple corridors?
Yes, and each corridor can be priced independently, with its own FX margin, fee structure and payout partners. Operators typically start with two or three corridors and add more as their provider relationships expand. Adding a corridor is configuration, not development.

Operations & scale

Can I manage agents with Remitz?
Yes. Remitz includes a full agent management module — onboard agents, set individual commission rates and FX markups, manage pre-funding and wallets, apply per-agent compliance rules, and track performance analytics. Support for sub-agents and branch hierarchies is also included.
Who manages hosting, updates and maintenance?
We do. Remitz is managed SaaS: hosting, monitoring, backups, updates, maintenance and security patches are all handled by us. You will never patch a server or plan an upgrade window. For a team of under ten people with no IT function, that removes an operational burden that would otherwise need a hire.
How many transactions can the platform process?
The platform is horizontally scalable — we add capacity as your volume grows, and because we manage the infrastructure you do not plan or pay for that separately. Your volume projections are one of the things we go through during the requirements discussion, so capacity is sized to them before you go live.
How do we get support?
Support runs on WhatsApp and phone — you reach a person rather than a ticket queue, which for a founder-led operation is usually faster than a portal. Enterprise plans add a written SLA with named customer success and compliance contacts.

Security & continuity

Is the platform secure?
Remitz operates TLS 1.3 encryption in transit, multi-factor authentication on administrative access, JWT-based authentication with role-based permissions and segregation of duties, and a full audit trail retained for your regulatory retention period. Data is hosted in the UK. Remitz is not ISO 27001 certified and does not currently commission third-party penetration testing — we would rather tell you that now than during your due diligence. Platform availability is independently monitored — see the live public status page.
Does Remitz handle safeguarding of customer funds?
No, and it never touches them. Remitz is software and never holds, receives or controls client money — your safeguarded account is with your bank, in your name, under your permission, so safeguarding is always your obligation rather than ours. What the platform gives you is the underlying record: a full transaction ledger, nostro-account balances reconciled against your payout partners, settlement records and an exportable audit trail. Remitz does not currently provide a purpose-built safeguarding reconciliation module or automated safeguarding attestation reporting. If your permission requires daily safeguarding reconciliation, that process sits with your finance function, using the records above. Safeguarding is not mandatory at Small Payment Institution level but becomes mandatory on full Authorised Payment Institution permission.
What happens if Remitz stops trading?
You can purchase the source code, which gives you complete ownership and the ability to run the platform independently. If continuity is a formal requirement for your firm, raise it during scoping and we will discuss arrangements that would satisfy your risk assessment.
Can we buy the source code?
Yes. Larger MTOs sometimes buy the source code because they want complete ownership and plan to build an internal technical team. It is a different commercial arrangement to the managed SaaS plans — raise it on a demo call and we will talk it through.
